Sweet and almost syrupy, Vin Santo is a wine with a long tradition in Tuscany.
Made from Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes that have been semi-dried in racks, these are then pressed and left to refine for a minimum of three years in traditional caratelli, small wood barrels.
Vin Santo typically accompanies traditional cantucci (almond) biscuits, or indeed any dessert.
